As your Scott County Collector of Revenue, I, Mark Hensley, am honored to serve our community and ensure that your tax experience is as straightforward and convenient as possible.

The Collector’s Office is responsible for collecting, accounting for, and distributing more than $35 million annually in current and delinquent taxes on behalf of over 40 taxing entities. Our duties also include managing railroad and utility collections, drainage assessments, and issuing merchant and auctioneer licenses.

I was first elected as Scott County Collector on November 3, 1998, and proudly took office on March 1, 1999. Before being elected, I served as Chief Appraiser for Scott County and worked as an ad valorem tax specialist for several surrounding counties. These experiences continue to guide my commitment to accuracy, accountability, and public service.
